Gilroy City Notice Of Availability Of A Draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR)

The City of Gilroy has completed a Draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the City’s Draft Gilroy 2040 General Plan, which updates the Gilroy 2020 General Plan, adopted in 2002. The Draft EIR is an informational document that is intended to inform the general public of the potentially significant environmental effects associated with implementation of the 2040 General Plan, identify possible ways to minimize the significant effects, and describe reasonable alternatives. The General Plan is a long-range planning document that will serve as the “constitution” for future development. It will represent the community’s values for the next 15-20 years. The General Plan provides residents and businesses the opportunity to make Gilroy an even better community than it is today!

The public review period for the Draft EIR begins on JUNE 26, 2020 and ends on AUGUST 10, 2020 at 5:00 p.m.
