1 Dead After Shooting At CA Councilwoman's Home
One person died and three others were injured at a Gilroy councilwoman's Halloween party early Saturday morning.
GILROY, CA — One person died and three others were injured at a Halloween party hosted by Gilroy councilwoman Rebeca Arendariz Saturday, according to multiple reports.
The shooting occurred in the 400 block of Las Animas Ave. early Saturday morning, the Gilroy Police Department said in a statement. Police were asking residents to avoid the area.
Gilroy Mayor Marie Blankley told NBC Bay Area that Arendariz was not injured in the shooting. Blankley confirmed that Arendariz was hosting a Halloween party when the shots were fired.
