Gilroy Foundation Raises Nearly $2M: Report

The funds will go to the victims of the shooting and others who were impacted financially by the July 28, 2019 massacre.

GILROY, CA — A local group that works to support charitable endeavors has raised nearly $2 million in support of victims of the 2019 Garlic Festival mass shooting, The Gilroy Dispatch reports.

The Gilroy Foundation has raised $1,934,472.51, with the funds going to the victims of the shooting and others who were impacted financially by the July 28, 2019 massacre at Christmas Hill Park, the report said.

Santino William Legan killed three people and injured 17 before being killed in a shootout with police at the festival.
