Gilroy Man Declared Dead On Bay Tree Drive In Possible Homicide
The incident is being treated as a "suspicious death" by police.

A 56-year-old Gilroy man was pronounced dead on the 1400 block of Bay Tree Drive early Monday, and the case is being investigated as a “suspicious death,” according to the Gilroy police.
At approximately 2:59 a.m., Gilroy Police officers responded to a residence on the 1400 Block of Bay Tree Drive for a “loud noise” call and located an unconscious male.
Gilroy Fire Department emergency medical personnel also arrived and initiated lifesaving efforts on the victim, but the efforts were not successful and the man was declared deceased on the scene by Gilroy fire personnel, police said.

This investigation is ongoing and being treated as a suspicious death, police said.
Investigators continue to gather facts, interview witnesses and are currently evaluating a variety of leads. The victim’s identity is being withheld until proper notifications are made.
