GILROY - Police are investigating the suspicious death of a woman in Gilroy Thursday afternoon.  Officers were called to a home in the 800 block of Sorrento Drive at 2:17 p.m. by a woman who said that her adult daughter was driving recklessly. Shortly after that she told dispatchers that her daughter had returned home.    When police contacted the daughter, however, she told them her mother had shot herself. Police found her inside suffering from a suspected gunshot wound and located a weapon.    The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.    Police say they're investigating the death as suspicious. Anyone with additional information is being urged to call investigators at (408) 846-0330.    -Bay City News
