Gilroy Police Search For Shooting Suspect: Report
Gilroy police are searching for a suspect who shot a man on Old Gilroy Street Saturday.
GILROY, CA — Gilroy police are searching for a suspect who shot a man on Old Gilroy Street Saturday evening, the Gilroy Dispatch reported.
Gilroy police said that officers responded to reports of a shooting on the 400 block of Old Gilroy Street at around 5:20 p.m. Saturday. The suspect fled before officers arrived, but police told the Dispatch that they found a firearm, vehicle, and other evidence items at the scene.
The victim was treated at a local hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, police said.

Police shut down Old Gilroy Street between Chestnut and East streets for at least two hours Saturday, the Dispatch reported.
