Gilroy Sidewalk Assessments Starting This Weekend

Starting Saturday, December 5, 2020, a team of Sidewalk Assessment Consultants with sidewalk assessment equipment will begin making their way throughout Gilroy taking video of our sidewalks to be used in an overall assessment of the condition of our City sidewalks. This team will be walking up and down each City sidewalk and park walkway to record the sidewalk status, and each individual will cover about 15 miles per day. The information gathered will be used to reassess the our Citywide Shared-Cost Sidewalk Repair Program.

The consultant team will be working from Saturday, December 5, 2020 through Sunday, December 13, 2020, weather permitting and will be using cameras to videotape the sidewalks and curb ramps.
