Heat Advisory In Effect: Gilroy Cooling Center
The Gilroy Library, located at 350 W 6th Street, will be open as a cooling center from September through Thursday, October 1 from 12pm-6pm.

Temperatures are expected to stay in the 90s and 100s through the end of the week. Protect yourselves and loved ones from the impacts of extreme heat, which can include heatstroke, heat exhaustion, heat cramps, sunburn, and rash.

Beat the heat by:
- Avoiding physical activity between 10am - 3pm.
- Your body works harder in high heat. Stay indoors.
- Wear loose-fitting, lightweight, and light-colored clothes.
- Call 9-1-1 if you see someone in distress.
