Man, 25, Killed In Hit-and-Run Near Gonzales Identified

MONTEREY COUNTY, CA – The California Highway Patrol has released the identity of a man killed in a hit-and-run collision Tuesday night near Gonzales.

The CHP has identified the victim as Cody Austine Hillock, 25.

Officers responded around 9:15 p.m. Tuesday to a report of a collision involving a pedestrian on Foletta Road just north of Alta Street in unincorporated Monterey County.

Hillock, the pedestrian, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators said a Hummer H2 and a dark sedan left the scene before officers arrived. No other information about the suspects and vehicles were immediately available from the CHP.
