Special Delivery: Morgan Hill Police Help New Mom Give Birth

Responding to a frantic 911 call from the father-to-be, Morgan Hill police officers helped deliver the baby girl on the side of the road.

Police received a "frantic" 911 call Tuesday night from the soon-to-be father, asking for help as the baby made an early entry in to the world.

Police found the family near the intersection of Sutter Boulevard and Jarvis Drive, where they helped deliver the baby girl.

"It’s not often we get to help deliver a baby but what a special event it is!" the department said on Facebook.

The baby and her mother are both doing well, police said.
