New Gilroy City Council Members to Be Seated Dec. 19
The Council will hold a reception to honor its outgoing members and welcome the new ones.

GILROY, CA -- The City Council plans to hold a reception on Monday, Dec. 19 to honor the outgoing mayor and two Council members, plus welcome in two new City Councilmen.
In November's election, three people were elected to the seven-member Council: incumbent Cat Tucker, and newcomers Fred Tovar and Paul Kloecker. Kloecker and Tovar will replace Daniel Harney -- who came in sixth in the race for three seats --and Terri Aulman, who did not run for re-election.
Also leaving the Council will be incumbent Mayor Perry Woodward, who was defeated by Roland Velasco in November. According to the official tally, Velasco received more than 66 percent of the vote.
