Parts Of Gilroy, Morgan Hill Under Evacuation Orders: Cal Fire

The SCU blaze is comprised of 20 fires burning in Alameda, Santa Clara, Contra Costa and Stanislaus and San Joaquin counties.

SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA — Evacuation orders were issued for parts of unincorporated Gilroy and Morgan Hill as the SCU Complex Lightning Fire continues its rapid spread over Santa Clara County, Cal Fire announced.

Evacuation orders Thursday afternoon for the area east of Shingle Valley Road and everything east of Anderson Lake, east of Coyote Creek, east of Coyote Reservoir, east of Leavesley Road, east of Crews Road and East of Ferguson Road.

Evacuation warnings were issued for the area south of Metcalf Road east of Coyote Creek to Anderson Lake Shore, east of Cochrane Road, east of Hill Road and South of Main Avenue, North of Maple Avenue, East of Foothill Avenue, North of San Martin Avenue and East of New Avenue.
