Former Three-Division World Champion and Gilroy native Robert "Ghost" Guerrero threw out the first pitch Sunday afternoon prior to the Oakland Athletics and New York Yankees game at O.co Coliseum in Oakland.
Guerrero fired the ball into home plate in front of over 30,000 baseball fans, and came one week before his long-anticipated bout against undefeated Selchik Aydin for the WBC Interim Welterweight World Championship this Saturday at the HP Pavilion in San Jose.
The championship match will start at 7 p.m. Saturday and will be aired live on Showtime Championship Boxing.
