Sand City Murder Suspect Arrested; One Remains At Large
Detectives arrested one suspect Wednesday and are looking for another in an alleged gang murder of a man and the attempted murder of another

SEASIDE - Detectives arrested one suspect Wednesday and are looking for another in an alleged gang murder of a man and the attempted murder of another person in March in Sand City.
At 2 p.m. Wednesday, detectives with the Peninsula Regional Violence and Narcotics Team arrested 19-year-old Daniel Bello-Perez of Seaside at the Seaside Police Department.
Bello-Perez was wanted in the killing of 19-year-old Seaside resident Khaleel Johnson at 12:15 a.m. on March 15, 2015, on northbound state Highway 1 just north of Canyon Del Rey Boulevard, according to the regional task force.

Police also arrested Bello-Perez on suspicion of possessing a firearm and ammunition by a person not allowed to have either, conspiracy and gang enhancements, according to the task force.
Bello-Perez was booked into the county jail on bail of $3,030,000.

Officers are looking for Edward Rodriguez, who has a warrant out for his arrest for murder and attempted murder.
Johnson was killed when someone fired shots from a vehicle into a Nissan sedan Johnson was in.
Shots also wounded the vehicle's driver, who survived.
