Santa Clara County Man Wanted for Assault with Bat

BREAKING: The victim was left with life-threatening injuries.

SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA -- Police are looking for a man wanted in an assault that left the victim with major injuries in Morgan Hill late last week.

Mark Weber, 47, of Morgan Hill, is a suspect in a fight between two men reported in the 200 block of Oak Grove Court around 12:45 p.m. on Dec. 9, police said.

Calls to dispatch indicated one of the men assaulted his opponent with a bat or may have killed his neighbor with a bat, according to police.

Arriving officers found the victim who was transported to a hospital for injuries that may be life-threatening.

The officers looked for Weber, who left before they arrived and remained outstanding as of today, police said.

Investigators have released the above picture of the suspect, who is considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone who sees Weber is advised to call 911 with a location of the suspect and his physical description.
