The Golden West Chevelle and El Camino Club says it’s the most laid back car club serving Los Angeles, Orange County and the Inland Empire. We’re not sure how you can be that laid back and pull off a well-organized show for 16 straight years. Yet, that’s what they’ve managed to do. The 16th such event was celebrated in grand fashion over at Legend’s Classic Diner on Route 66 in Glendora over Memorial Day weekend.
The 16th Annual Chevelle and El Camino Appreciation Night wasn’t just a bunch of cars taking over the Legend’s parking lot (although they certainly did do that). The Golden West people brought in a live DJ, raffled away prizes and gave out trophies. I arrived there in an electric Chevrolet, clearly feeling like a ditigal man in was there to capture an analog moment for our digital world.
If you have a Chevelle, El Camino or Malibu, and think you might be interested in finding out more about the self-described most laid back car club in the locale, you can check out goldenwestcarclub.com.
