GLENDORA, CA — The City of Glendora is encouraging residents to report individuals who may need housing assistance, emphasizing that a call to its Homeless Hotline is the first step in a process to connect people with available resources.
In an announcement Wednesday, the city reminded the community its outreach team works to make contact with the individual, assess their circumstances and connect them with appropriate services.
The city encourages residents to use the available reporting options to help connect people experiencing homelessness with assistance and support.
The process can take time, depending on the person's needs and the availability of resources, according to the city.
City officials said early reporting helps ensure the appropriate outreach team can become involved as soon as possible.
Residents who encounter someone they believe may need assistance are encouraged to contact the city's Homeless Outreach team at 626-852-5200.
For after-hours concerns, residents can call the Police Department's non-emergency line at 626-914-8250. Reports also can be submitted through the MyGlendora app, the city said.
