Beginning Monday, Nov. 6, students at Azusa’s Ellington K-8 School who miss the school's regular early-morning breakfast will have a second chance to eat by picking up a quick grab-and-go breakfast during recess.
“This is an excellent opportunity to ensure that students are receiving a nutritionally balanced meal,” explained AUSD Nutrition Services Director Stella Ndahura. “Children who eat a nutritious breakfast have better behavior, better attendance and improved grades.”
The “Second Chance” breakfast opportunity is being piloted at Ellington K-8 School.
