Body Found Near Glendora At Area Dump Site

A man's body was discovered in the bottom of a dirt pit this morning near Glendora at the bottom of a dirt pit off Vincent Ave.

IRWINDALE, CA — A man's body was found today at a dump site in the Irwindale area. Los Angeles County Sheriff's Officers are investigating this as a homicide case, according to reports.

The discovery was made shortly after 9 a.m. in the 5100 block of Vincent Avenue, according to the sheriff's department.

In an original statement from Irwindale's Police Sgt. George Zendejas, the 9-1-1 call reporting the body came at 9 a.m.

The body, found at the bottom of Manning Pit, was lying face up and discovered by a truck driver.

Homicide detectives were sent to the scene, but it was not immediately known if foul play was involved in the death.

A load of debris was trucked from a construction site in downtown Los Angeles to the Irwindale site, where the man's body was discovered when the load was dumped there, according to broadcast reports.
