Subject: COMMON CORE CALL TO ACTION IN LA/VENTURA COUNTIES FOR PUBLIC, PRIVATE, PAROCHIAL AND HOME SCHOOL GRADES PRE-K THROUGH COLLEGE

PLEASE CONSIDER ATTENDING THIS URGENT MEETING ON COMMON CORE NEXT THURSDAY, March 21, 2013 at the Calvary Chapel, 2997 Lavery Court #16, Newbury Park at 7pm about the Common Core curriculum and how this affects all public, private, parochial and home school education in California pre-K through college. Your sons, daughters and grandchildren are counting on you!
YOU HAVE ALL HEARD ABOUT COMMON CORE AKA THE CORE AKA CORE CURRICULUM THAT HAS BEEN IN CALIFORNIA PUBLIC EDUCATION FOR 5-6 YEARS NOW.
IT HAS NOW COME OUT OF THE CLOSET AS THE COMMON CORE AND IT WILL AFFECT ALL PUBLIC EDUCATION (CHARTERS TOO) IN AMERICA BUT WHAT YOU MAY NOT KNOW IS THAT IT WILL ALSO AFFECT ALL PRIVATE, PAROCHIAL AND HOME SCHOOL FAMILES. AND HOW MUCH DO THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE HEARD ABOUT IT KNOW ABOUT IT?
CALIFORNIA HAS BEEN THE TESTING GROUNDS OF COMMON CORE, UNOFFICIALLY SINCE 2007, WHICH MAY WELL EXPLAIN WHATS BEEN DIFFERENT AND SEEMED WRONG ABOUT OUR EDUCATION. ITS BEEN THE REASON MANY OF US HAVE MADE ALTERNATIVE EDUCATIONAL CHOICES FOR OUR KIDS. FURTHERMORE, THE CALIFORNIA EDUCATION CODE IS MORPHING INTO THE UNITED STATES ED CODE AND COMBINED WITH COMMON CORE THIS IS A LETHAL WEAPON BEING USED FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS MINDS. THIS LEGISLATION WAS CASUALLY SLIPPED INTO THE FIRST STIMULUS PROGRAM. Among many distinct changes to how your children/grandchildren are taught to learn, Common Core will remove 70% of all fiction (classic) literature from the curriculum. It will continue to change the way our children learn math and change our history.
IF NOT STOPPED NOW COMMON CORE WILL REMOVE ALL CHOICE.
The curriculum is now in all public and charter schools but did you know that homeschoolers will be federally mandated to use "the core" curriculum? Did you know that private and parochial schools will be held to a mysterious higher standard if they do not adopt the common core.
AND THE BIGGEST LOSERS are your children and grandchildren attending private, parochial and/or home school because all SAT, ACT and AP, IB, and college board exams will be aligned to core standards. If your child is not learning the core, they will not be able to pass the tests and they will not be allowed to go to college. In fact, by 2015 this will be the law of the land if common core is federalized. There is so much more to share about the questionable intentions of Common Core how the Feds plan to track your children’s grades and behavior, identify your political affiliations, and keep tabs on your income and that’s for starters.
THERE IS ONLY A SMALL WINDOW less than 12 months TO LOBBY AGAINST ITS FULL STATEWIDE AND NATIONAL IMPLEMENTATION. So what are you waiting for?
COME TO A COMMON CORE MEETING. EDUCATE YOURSELVES. AND LEARN WHAT YOU CAN DO TO PROTECT YOUR CHILDREN AND/OR GRANDCHILDREN. THE FUTURE IS COUNTING ON YOU.
