Just Another Inspired Day in Glendora
Life may be ordinary, but it can still make your day if you approach it the right way.

Another exciting day in my home today. I turned on the TV and once again contemplated the relevance of infomercials in the scheme of things and karmically; how they fit into our Universe.
I had to go to the grocery store early because I don't like to fight crowds or over-zealous, middle-aged soccer moms who want the same head of lettuce I do, so I hit the market at 7:30 a.m. It was the usual scene...four employees trying to stack potato chips, a man with a cart who looked completely lost and out of his element (you just know his wife told him to go to the store and get something obscure like cumin or paprika), a woman pushing a child in a cart that was shaped like a car (the way the child handled that steering wheel, he'd be pulled over for a DUI in a second if he ever left the parking lot!) and an elderly woman who had a cart full of dog biscuits and cat food. So, everything as usual.
I found my $108 worth of items and headed to the check out. It doesn't matter what I buy at the grocery store, it always costs $108! I could have three lunchables, a cake mix, a six pack of Diet Pepsi and two boxes of Go-gurt and it'd still be $108! I think I'm cursed by the Inflation Fairy!

The other problem I have is food that has expired. My son, suddenly Mr. Fussy-Consumer-Protection-Guy, decided that we shouldn't be eating food that has passed it's expiration date. Before he came into my life I think EVERYTHING I ate had passed it's expiration date. So now this means I have to replace things all the time. He's very picky. For some reason he won't eat slightly brown bananas or cottage cheese that has an interesting texture to it. He won't even eat popsickles if the expiration date has passed! Go figure. So, I go get replacements on a regular basis and it costs me $108.
After I returned from the market I had the unenviable task of having to put everything away. Life is so demanding! I know they have the people bag your groceries and even sometimes will offer to take them to your car but I think they should have people who follow me home and put away my groceries for me. In the first place, maybe THEY can find room for everything! In the second place, I could do more important things while they put stuff away...like watch football, Judge Judy or play Tiger Woods Championship golf on my laptop...which I did today right after I put all the groceries away.

Yet another stimulating, exciting day in suburbia. Honestly, I'm not sure I want it any other way.
