Charter Oak Education Foundation Raises $12,000 for Charter Oak Students

All funds will be donated to the Charter Oak Unified School District for programs in STEM, strings, AVID and IB.

The Charter Oak Education Foundation raised over $12,000.00 at the 2nd Annual Oak Tree Challenge 5K/1 Mile Run/Walk on Sunday, September 20th, with all funds to be donated to the Charter Oak Unified School District.

Everyone had a great day running, walking, visiting our vendors, eating pancakes and receiving medals. Our 5K runners were fantastic as they sprinted around the campus of Charter Oak High School. Our top three runners in each age category received medals and our overall 1st place female runner, Chessa Sanders, and overall 1st place male runner, Trevor Hernandez, received 1st place 5K medals. Every Mile runner received a runner medal from our Charter Oak High School Cheerleaders as they crossed the finish line.

Many thanks go to all of our 5K sponsoring Partners. A special thanks to our Gold Partners: Sam s Club; Glendora, San Dimas Community Hospital; H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III Cultural and Art Museum; Keygent Advisors; and Coates Cyclery, Pomona.
