CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY
As part of the Foothill Gold Line light rail project, KPJV crews will be working at the Lone Hill Ave. railroad crossing to build the new light rail bridge foundations. This work requires the full closure of the street for two days, as well as lane closures (including intermittent full southbound nightly directional closures) before and after the full street closure to prepare and then demobilize the work area. See detailed schedule below.
WHEN
Daytime Lane Closures: Beginning on November 1st, one northbound lane on Lone Hill Ave. and one left turn lane from westbound Auto Centre Dr. to southbound Lone Hill Ave. will be closed daily. Nighttime Lane Closures: Beginning at 7:00 PM nightly, an additional lane in each direction on Lone Hill Ave. will be closed as needed, reopening the lane by 6:00 AM Monday - Friday and by 7:00 AM on weekend days. Intermittent full directional nightly closures (southbound lanes only): As needed only (intermittently), a full directional closure of southbound lanes on Lone Hill Ave will be closed between Auto Centre Dr. and Glendora Marketplace at night. When needed, full directional closures will begin at 10:00 PM. Northbound thru traffic will be maintained. See map below for detour routes. Two-Day Full Closure: Beginning Thursday night, November 11 at 9:00 PM and continuing thru Saturday night, November 13 at 9:00 PM, Lone Hill Ave. at the railroad crossing will be fully closed to all traffic (vehicular and pedestrian) between Auto Centre Dr. and Glendora Marketplace, 24 hours a day.
• Crews plan to work multiple shifts, covering 24 hours a day, during the full street closure period to complete the drill shaft installation within the limited closure period.

TRAFFIC ADVISORIES
• Lane closures on Lone Hill Ave. between Auto Centre Dr. and Glendora Marketplace on November 1-10 and November 14-19; intermittent full southbound directional closures at night only between Nov. 1-19. Expect delays.
• Full closure of Lone Hill Ave. at the railroad crossing to all traffic (vehicular and pedestrian) 24-hours a day between Auto Centre Dr. and Glendora Marketplace for two days from November 11-13. Use detour routes.
• Access to the Glendora Marketplace and the businesses on Lone Hill Ave. within the closure area north and south of the railroad crossing will be maintained at all times.
PLAN YOUR ROUTE AND BE PREPARED
• A detour route (see map below) will be in place during the intermittent nighttime southbound directional closures and during the two-day full street closure. Signage will be posted to direct motorists and pedestrians. Please follow detour signs.
San Dimas Ave. (northbound and southbound) will serve as the main detour route, see details below.
Gladstone St. (eastbound and westbound) will remain open to all traffic.
Auto Centre Dr. / Allen Ave. (eastbound and westbound) will remain open to all traffic.
LIGHT RAIL BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION AT THE RAILROAD CROSSING ON LONE HILL AVE. | NOVEMBER 19, 2021 - DECEMBER 2022 (14-MONTHS)
CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY
As part of the Foothill Gold Line light rail project, crews will begin bridge construction across Lone Hill Ave. at the railroad crossing. Construction activities include underground utility work, drill shaft and foundation installation, and column formwork. Construction activities will alternate between working in the center median and adjacent to the outermost lanes at the railroad crossing. One northbound lane on Lone Hill Ave. and one left turn lane from westbound Auto Centre Dr. to southbound Lone Hill Ave. will be closed daily starting November 19, 2021 and continue thru December 2022 (14-months). Two lanes in each direction will be maintained during the daytime. Additionally, there are several activities that cannot be performed safely under lane closures that will require directional nightly closures and 24-hour full closures of Lone Hill Ave. Separate notices will be provided for any needed full street closures or full directional closures.
WHEN
Starting Friday, November 19, 2021 and continuing thru December 2022 (Approx. 14 months).
• Lane closures will be in affect in both directions 24 hours per day.
• Allowable Work Hours: 7:00 AM - 9:00 PM, Monday thru Saturday. NOTE: Occasional longer working hours and nighttime
work may be needed.
WHERE
Construction activities will take place in both northbound and southbound lanes of Lone Hill Ave. between Gladstone St. and Auto Centre Dr., at the railroad crossing. Thru traffic will be maintained during the day, and access will be maintained at all times to local businesses and the Glendora Marketplace.
TRAFFIC ADVISORIES
• Daily: One northbound traffic lane on Lone Hill Ave. from Gladstone St. to Auto Centre Dr. and one left turn lane from westbound Auto Centre Dr. to southbound Lone Hill Ave. will be closed daily. Thru access for vehicular traffic will be maintained.
• Intermittent nightly directional or full street closures may be required. Separate notices will be provided prior to these closures.
• Access to businesses will be maintained at all times.
NOTE TO RESIDENTS / BUSINESS OWNERS
• Typical noise from construction equipment will be produced near the active work zones such as construction vehicles and light plants (during nighttime hours).
