Claremont Burglary Ring Suspect Arrested: Police
A man who robbed several houses on Huron Drive in early February then posted items for sale online was arrested, police say.

CLAREMONT, CA — A burglary investigation has yielded an arrest and recovery of stolen property according to the Claremont Police Department. Police reported a series of burglaries from Feb. 1 and Feb. 2 on the 600 block of Huron Drive.
"Following the burglary, the victim discovered that her stolen property was being sold online," Claremont Police Sgt. David Hardin said.
An undercover operation was set up where detectives arranged to meet with the suspect through social media to purchase a stolen pair of earrings.

"An undercover officer met with the suspect at Home Depot in Glendora and made the purchase," Hardin said. That officer arranged to purchase additional stolen property and the suspect led them to the U-Haul Self-Storage in Glendora.
Brandon Peterson, a 33-year-old Glendora resident, was then contacted and arrested.

"Additional stolen property was located in two storage units," Hardin said. "Detectives then went to a residence in Glendora to recover additional stolen property from the suspect’s cousin."
At the end of the investigation, all of the property known to have been stolen from Huron Dr. was recovered, along with additional property believed to be stolen.
"The search for additional victims is ongoing," Hardin said.
Peterson was transported to the CPD Jail, where he was booked for burglary and possession of stolen property.
Bail was set at $50,000.00 and he is scheduled to appear in Pomona Superior Court on February 8, Hardin said.
