COHS Advanced Choir Performs at Disneyland
Please help support their trip to Carnegie Hall.

On July 22, the Advanced Choral Ensemble was invited to perform at California Adventure for the Disneyland Community Arts Showcase. Under the direction of Rebecca Schmalzbach, our Charter Oak students on summer vacation came together and performed a fantastic show after almost two months off, and made us very proud.
On October 11th, the Charter Oak Advanced Choral Ensemble sent 8 students to participate in the USC Choral Leadership Workshop with Rodney Eichenberger, USC music professor emeritus and one of the most influential and renown choral conductors in the world. The choir was a part of a group of 200 students from about 20 high schools and learned five difficult pieces of choral repertoire and performed in the Newman Recital Hall at USC. They represented CO well and had a great time!
The choir has been selected to perform in the Heritage Festival of Gold at Carnegie Hall in New York City in March of 2015.
