The Interact Club Board Members attended the Covina Rotary luncheon meeting

The Interact Club Board Members attended the Covina Rotary luncheon meeting on December 3rd to thank them for sponsoring their Interact Club at COHS and to share what’s been happening since its start in September. It’s been over 3 years since the Interact Club has existed at COHS, but under the tutelage of co-advisers, Mrs. Bonnie Shockey and Ms Lisa Dettelbach, senior Chris Meade brought it back into existence after realizing the value of Interact while attending a Rotary-sponsored leadership camp, RYLA, last April. Covina Rotary is proud to work with these emerging leaders and excited to receive their help on several community service projects this school year. Additionally at the meeting, the students sold holiday candy grams to the Rotarians, bringing in a generous $300 which will help these students to perform their own community service projects. We look forward to what our students at COHS will do in the coming months through Interact.
