Community Yard Sale - Washington Elementary School
Don't miss the Community Yard Sale, April 25th_8am-3pm to benefit a Charter Oak family who lost their home to a fire.
As you may know, a fire completely destroyed the home of one of our Charter Oak families. All of the family members made it out safely, though we are sad to share their pet dog did not make it. They’ve lost EVERYTHING. We have two phases of help that we are organizing.
Phase 1: Gift Card Drive: Washington Elementary Office will be collecting the cards on behalf of the family. Vons, Target, Food 4 Less, Old Navy, Walmart are just a few that we know they could use.
Phase 2: Housing: The family will need help getting a long term place to stay, AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. So, cash donations are welcome; however, we are going to have a community yard sale! So clean out your garage, and bring your items to Washington Elementary School. All items donated will go to the family or be sold at the yard sale to raise money for them.
