Each year , the district is represented by two students at COUSD Governing Board table and at the Glendora City Council meetings. Last year’s full-fledged, voting Board Member, Natalie Jansen, brought many issues to the table for discussion. The topic most dear to Natalie was the need for a new theater at Charter Oak High School. Natalie organized her student colleagues who did a wonderful job showing their support and the value in a new theater.
Alex Haston was representative to the Glendora City Council. He spoke well on behalf of COUSD as Alex exemplifies the qualities that make someone not only a good student but also a good leader.
The superintendent and board presented the representatives with a sweatshirt of the university they would be attending in the fall: Cal State Fullerton for Ms. Jansen and UC Davis for Mr. Haston.
