COUSD ADMINISTRATORS AWARDED "ADMINISTRATORS OF THE YEAR"

ACSA Region XV held their annual awards banquet on April 27, 2016 at the Castaway Restaurant in Burbank where Charter Oak Unified School District was honored in five categories of Administrator of the Year. Congratulations to Region XV Award Winners:

-Dr. Mike Hendricks, Superintendent of the Year
-Maria Thompson, Middle Grades Principal of the Year
-Dr. Marisa Block, Secondary Co-Administrator of the Year
-Lisa Raigosa, Continuation/Educational Options Administrator of the Year
-Ivan Ayro, Charter Leadership Award

Dr. Hendricks, District Superintendent, said that “Charter Oak is fortunate to have such a talented and dedicated management team that works cohesively in providing outstanding services to the students of our district.”

The Charter Oak Unified School District, in collaboration with families and community, provides a balanced, quality educational experience that meets the physical, intellectual and emotional needs of all students. Their focus is providing students with the skills needed to adapt to a changing world, equipping them for college, career and life choices. In addition to these outstanding awards, Charter Oak also had an impressive number of administrators nominated by their peers in other categories: Ivan Ayro (Principal of the Year Nominee), Michelle Lee (Elementary Principal of the Year Nominee), John Lopez (Personnel/HR Administrator of the Year Nominee), Joe Mitchell (Pupil/Personnel Administrator of the Year Nominee), Adam Stites, Debra Tarbox (Curriculum & Instruction Administrator of the Year Nominee), Michelle Lee (Elementary Principal of the Year Nominee), Sharon Greaves (Region XV Elementary Co-Administrator of the Year Nominee).
