The ROMS ASB students worked with MOT’s Henry Quintana to plant several fruitless plum trees that were donated by Acosta Growers in Azusa.
The trees are planted in the new grass area by the smaller parking lot facing Puente Avenue. It was a great lesson for our students. Henry explained all about proper tree planting techniques and the importance of trees to our environment.
The students all took turns working with the shovels. They were really excited and all talked about how when they drive by the school 20 years from now with their own kids, they can tell them all about how they planted those trees!
