Foothill Christian School, Glendora, participated in today's California Shake Out. According to Superintendent, Bo Gutzwiller, "the practice drill went extremely well, and all planned procedures were executed effectively." With the use of wireless technology, walkie-talkies, and physical runners, both the Baseline and Route 66 campuses were able to closely coordinate information regarding damage assessment and injuries. All parents were notified by emails and text messages that "had this been a actual emergency, this is one of one of the ways that we would communicate with you." A number of off-site parents responded very favorably about receiving the update.
Following the emergency drill, team leaders gathered to share information about what dimensions of the plan worked well, and which ones need further consideration. Photos of the morning drill are available on Foothill Christian School's Facebook page.
