Glendora Coordinating Council Seeks Community Members

Looking for ways to become more involved in the Glendora community? The Glendora Community Coordinating Council may be a place to start.

The GlendoraΒ Β CommunityΒ Coordinating Council invites members of the community to learn more about community involvement, service clubs and local events.

Every month, representatives from Glendora service clubs, schools and local government meet to share local news and events, while recognizing noteworthy residents of the community.Β

The council met Monday, Sept. 9 for its first meeting withΒ new president Amanda Behnke.

"Our goal is to recognizeΒ one adult and one youth volunteer in the city each month for theirΒ contributions," said Behnke.Β

The council also hosts the holiday basket program, which provides food for needy families for the holidays, and a campership program for kids in the summer.

The council meets the secondΒ MondayΒ of the month.Β The next meeting isΒ Monday, Oct. 14.Β

Membership is $25Β for an individual and $50 for a business for the entire year.
