June 11, 2020, Pomona, CA – Effective June 15th, The Inland Valley Humane Society & SPCA (IVHS) will offer in-person adoption on an appointment-only basis and customer service/licensing over the phone with modified hours. IVHS has continued to closely monitor COVID-19 activity and is taking the necessary steps to comply with LA County and the CDC’s recommended health and safety measures. This includes the implementation of social distancing and sanitation protocols in our facility for all employees and potential adopters.

Along with adoption appointments, we will continue to offer “Foster to Hold” by appointment-only for those interested in opening their home to a pet temporarily. Adoption and “Foster to Hold” appointments can be requested by filling out the corresponding application online at www.ivhsspca.org/adoptions. After a request is made, an Adoption Counselor will contact potential adopters/fosters to schedule an appointment.

The Customer Service and Licensing Department will be operating by phone with modified hours (8 AM – 5 PM, Monday – Saturday). Licenses can be processed by phone by calling (909) 623-9777, online at www.ivhsspca.org/licensing, or by mail to Attn: Customer Service, 500 Humane Way, Pomona, CA 91766.

The Inland Valley Humane Society & S.P.C.A. will continue to assist the community in finding their perfect furry friend while ensuring health and safety protocols are met by all staff and shelter visitors.
