NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that there is a scheduled vacancy for a representative on the San Gabriel Valley Mosquito and Vector Control Board. Applications will be received until 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 5, 2020 and the successful candidate will be appointed to a two- or four-year term commencing on January 1, 2021 with the first meeting schedule to take place on January 8, 2021.

Vacancy: Office No. 1 term expires December 30, 2020.
Term: two- or four-year term commencing on January 1, 2021
ABOUT THE SAN GABRIEL VALLEY MOSQUITO AND VECTOR CONTROL:
San Gabriel Valley Mosquito and Vector Control Board: One representative member serves a two- or four-year term. The San Gabriel Valley Mosquito and Vector Control District is an independent special district. Power of authority is granted through the California Health and Safety Code, sections 2000-2067. The District is governed by a 27-member board of trustees, consisting of an appointed representative from each city plus the County of Los Angeles. Members must be residents of Glendora and available to give bi-annual updates to the City Council. This Board meets on the 2nd Friday of each month.
APPOINTMENT PROCEDURE: Applicants must be 18 years or older, register to vote and must maintain residency within the incorporated areas of the City of Glendora during their term of office. Applications are available via the City’s web site at www.cityofglendora.org or can be mailed to you by calling the City Clerk’s Office at (626) 914-8210, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., except holidays. Completed application forms must be filed with the City Clerk no later than 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 5, 2020. Please call the City Clerk’s Office at (626) 914-8210 for more information.
It is anticipated that interviews will be schedule for Tuesday, November 10, 2020 between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. online via Zoom Video Communications. Applicants will be contacted to schedule interview times following the recruitment deadline.
