Glendora Public Library to Host 6th Annual Battle of the Books

From the Glendora Public Library:

The 6th annual ā€œBattle of the Booksā€ will take place on Thursday, Oct. 10 at 6 p.m. in the Bidwell Forum. ā€œBattle of the Books" is a trivia competition for teens in grades 6 to 12. The youth have signed up in three person teams to compete for the winning title. Team members have been working together to prepare for the variety of questions they are sure to be asked by answering questions related to these books:Ā Artemis Fowlby Eoin Colfer;Ā SchooledĀ by Gordon Korman and TheĀ Wednesday WarsĀ by Gary D. Schmidt.

Senior Librarian of Youth Services, Cindy Romero said, ā€œThe goal for the ā€œBattle of the Booksā€ is to promote recreational reading, to build reading skills and comprehension and to encourage team building skills in our youth. ā€œBattle of the Booksā€ is an exciting event full of fun, laughter and knowledge. Come to the event on October 10 to cheer on your favorite team and learn more about these books.ā€
