The Glendora Public Library and the GPL Friends Foundation in
partnership with the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) Speakers Bureau, are
pleased to present a lecture that will take you beyond our planet earth.

Saturday, June 15 at 2:00 p.m. in the Bidwell Forum - “Are We Alone? The History and Science of the
Search for Extraterrestrial Life” will be presented by Mark Wallace. Join us as we explore the search for life in
our solar system and the search for exoplanets in the habitable zone. Mr. Wallace is a Mission Design Engineer at
NASA’s JPL in Pasadena, and is currently the lead trajectory analyst for the
next Mars lander, InSight, launching in 2016 and has helped develop concepts
for robotic and human missions for Venus, Mars, asteroids, comets and beyond.
He was recently a member of the Navigation Team for the GRAIL Mission to the
Moon.
