Need a Job? More Than 40 Companies Interviewing at Covina Job Fair April 21

San Gabriel Valley Job, College and Veterans Fair welcomes anyone looking for a new job or career change, including military veterans.

COVINA, Calif. – Some of the region’s top insurance companies, construction providers, manufacturing companies, home improvement and maintenance companies, non-profit organizations and specialized educational institutions will be among the expected 40-plus organizations looking to hire workers at the San Gabriel Valley Job, College and Veterans Fair on Thursday, April 21.

Scheduled for 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Christ First Baptist Church in Covina, the fair is open to everyone, regardless of age, skill sets or education level. Candidates should dress professionally and come equipped with a generous supply of resumes. Military veterans, reservists and members of the National Guard are encouraged to attend. Christ First Baptist Church is located at 200 N. Second Ave. in Covina. To register, visit www.christ-first.org.

Employers that have committed include the Los Angeles Fire Department, Schaeffer Manufacturing, People’s Care, Primerica, Solar City and Easter Seals Southern California. The list also includes American Income Life, Cats Pest Control, ChildCare Careers, Dewey Pest Control, Dignity Memorial, Forest Lawn Mortuaries, Heavy Equipment College, ITT Tech, KKLA/Salem Media, Managed Career Solutions, New York Life, Oremor Automotive Group, Pacific American Fish Company, Primerica, Roadmaster Driving School Robertson’s Ready Mix, Service Corporation International and Westcliff University, among other companies, government organizations, staffing agencies and higher education institutions.

“Our Christ First Covina family is excited to serve the San Gabriel Valley on April 21,” said James Laing, lead pastor at the church. “We know many are looking for employment or simply better employment and it's our honor to provide a venue to bring recruiters and job seekers together. We’ll have a team of volunteers ready to serve and exceed the expectations of both recruiters and job seekers. We hope this day will be a catalyst for new doors to open and many employment contracts to be signed.”

Christ First Baptist Church is presenting the event in partnership with Church Job Fairs, which works with churches to present events throughout California. Church Job Fairs (www.churchjobfairs.org) helps provide job seekers with hope and encouragement, while introducing them to a welcoming local church and delivering enthusiastic job candidates to employers.
