Royal Oak students competed at the LA County Science Fair in Pasadena, CA.
The competition against the best private schools, highly magnet schools, and science academies is fierce. After three years, our public school projects have greatly improved and new secrets are constantly learned.
Next year, originality will need to be emphasized/required for projects to be sent to the county/state level. All 10 of our students received recognition awards on stage and a special honors went to Joshua Blackard for the Professional Engineers in California Government Award Certificate and gift card.

One presenter mentioned that all students competing at the County level are already winners being in the top 1% of science students in the entire city. .
