Sowing Seeds for Life Celebrity Golf Tournament Nov. 3 at Glendora Country Club Attracts Big Names

Major fundraiser features Glendora basketball legends Casey Jacobsen, Tracy Murray and Coach Mike LeDuc, plus Jim Harrick

Sowing Seeds for Life, a regional charity headed by Glendora resident Vicki Brown, has lined up three local basketball legends plus former UCLA basketball coach Jim Harrick for its sixth annual celebrity golf tournament, to be held Monday, Nov. 3, at Glendora Country Club.

Tracy Murray and Casey Jacobsen, two of the greatest high school basketball players ever in Southern California, and their coach at Glendora High, Mike LeDuc, have agreed to play in the Sowing Seeds for Life tournament and also participate in a panel discussion moderated by Chris Roberts, a Glendora resident and longtime radio voice of UCLA football and basketball.

Sowings Seeds for Life provides food and a variety of services for people in need throughout this area. Twice-a-month food pantries are held the first and third Wednesday of every month from 3-5 p.m. at DPI Labs, 1350 Arrow Highway in La Verne. The charity provides food to some 6,000 people per month. Vicki Brown is the CEO of both Sowing Seeds for Life and DPI Labs. She founded the charity in 2007.
