
At least two spot fires ignited in the Colby Fire burn area, Sunday afternoon.
Officers responded to a report of smoke north of the 1100 block of North Easley Canyon Road just before 4:30 p.m. The spot fires were burning about 600 yards north of residences, according to Glendora Police.
According to police broadcast traffic, a police helicopter helped to pinpoint the location of the flames for fire fighters.
Two hand crews, an engine and a water-dropping helicopter worked to douse the flare-up. The Colby Fire remains 98 percent contained, the U.S. Forest
Service said.
