STEM Academy Comes to San Gabriel Valley

GLENDORA, CA - On Tuesday, October 27 California CASCD and Discovery Education collaborated to bring a new professional development opportunity to the San Gabriel Valley: The STEM Institute: Connecting the Dots.

Teachers and administrators from Charter Oak and other districts in the greater Los Angeles area gathered in the ROMS library to learn how to effectively lead the organization and administration of our Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math initiatives.

All participants had the opportunity to experience hands-on activities and strategies delivered by Albert Einstein Distinguished Educator Fellow Ereritus and NASA/Teacher’s College Endeavor Fellow for STEM Education Jonathan W. Gerlach, of Discovery Education.

Charter Oak Teachers fully engaged in the learning and will be bringing their new and innovative skills to our students. Way to go STEM teachers.
