Each month Washington Elementary School focuses on one character pillar from Character Counts. For the month of February it was Caring. Students showed this trait though their actions and words. One first grader shared “I helped my friend because he was sad. He lost his snack, so I shared mine.” Each child shows caring in a different way and no way is better than another. “We just want them all to care for each other” Mrs. Villaverde said. And wouldn’t it be a better world if everyone did?
