Waste Management of San Gabriel Valley to Encourage Recycling at San Dimas Western Days Festival
“We are very excited to have a presence at the San Dimas Western Days Festival,” said Carolyn Anderson-Corrao of Waste Management of San Gabriel Valley and San Dimas Chamber of Commerce chairwoman. “Being at this event allows our team to directly speak with and educate community members about how important it is to recycle right and recycle often.”
Waste Management will serve as an environmental services sponsor at San Dimas Western Days, encouraging all to “go green” on their way to the event and while participating in the fun. During this weekend, Waste Management will promote green habits through in-kind trash and recycling services, clearly marked trash and recycling collection boxes to encourage recycling, and an interactive and educational booth offering battery recycling kits to San Dimas residents.

“Community festivals can result in a lot of extra trash ending up in the garbage, so we’re glad to have Waste Management on board to encourage earth-friendly recycling at our Western Days Festival,” said Karen Gaffney, president of the San Dimas Chamber of Commerce.
The San Dimas Western Days Festival is a yearly event widely attended by the community, offering participants the opportunity to come together and enjoy a variety of activities including family-friendly games and contests, craft and food vendors, pony rides for kids and live entertainment.
