Woman Molested Outside of Charter Oak Apartment Complex

Officers are seeking a man who is suspected of sexually battering a woman outside of her apartment complex in the Charter Oak area of Covina.

The incident occurred around 10 p.m. Wednesday in the parking lot of the complex in the 1900 block of East Cienega Ave., between Bonnie Cove and Sunflower avenues, according to Covina Police.

The 25-year-old woman said she noticed a suspicious man standing alone in the parking lot as she exited the building. As she was getting into her car, the man came up behind her, put his arms around her and touched her in a sexual manner, according to the police report.

The man put his hand over the woman’s mouth during the attack. The woman was able to free herself and contact police. She was not injured during the attack.

The suspect is described as a Latino male in his early 20s, 5 feet 6 inches tall and 175 pounds. He was wearing a hooded sweatshirt and dark jeans.
