Youth Orchestra Auditions in Glendora!

The 2nd annual season of the Foothill Christian Legacy Youth Orchestra (FCLYO) will be holding auditions for the upcoming 2016-17 school year!

Monday, May 9 from 6:00-8:00 pm & Sunday, May 22 from 3:00-6:00 pm

Please contact the directors at fclyorchestra@gmail.com to sign up for an audition time. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your scheduled audition time to tune and warm up. Auditions are at Foothill Christian School (242 W Baseline Rd, Glendora, CA).

Audition requirements:
2 or 3-octave major or minor scale of choice
Solo piece of choice
Sight-reading excerpt (music will be provided at audition)

FCLYO is a community youth string orchestra open to violin, viola, cello, and string bass players up through 12th grade. Students should have several years of playing experience, be taking private lessons, and be able to sightread. FCLYO plays at concerts and participates in other special events throughout the school year, including Disneyland Performing Arts.

Kickoff rehearsal and mandatory parent meeting:
Saturday, September 10 at 9:00 am.

Weekly rehearsals:
Mondays beginning September 12 from 4:15-6:00 pm (except holidays)
*Attendance at all rehearsals and concerts is mandatory unless excused by the directors.
