A lyrical love letter to grandmas everywhere—rooted in faith, filled with grace, and wrapped in the magic of everyday moments.
“Grandma and I are best friends. But not just because her room is messy like mine. We’re best friends because…”
Best Friends with Grandma is a heartwarming picture book that celebrates the quiet, everyday moments between grandmothers and grandchildren—the small gestures that leave a lasting imprint. More than just a giggly story, it’s a tribute to the unspoken, unwavering love passed down through generations.
Perfect for fans of Grandmother's Promise by Amy June Bates, Thank You, Omu! by Oge Mora, and Lullaby Prayer by Tamara Bundy, this tender story radiates warmth, faith, and intergenerational connection.
Each page features a culturally diverse child and grandmother pair, showcasing the beautiful ways love and faith show up around the world—from shared chairs and off-key songs to secret snacks and soft-spoken wisdom.

The book was illustrated by Stephanie Laberis. Come join us in celebrating this mega-talented Folsom-based author and her new book at Old Haunts Bookshop!
Princess Bulldog #1: Princess Power Trip
In the first book of this highly illustrated, early middle grade trilogy, Princess Lola the pupasus (she’s a puppy with wings!) is in charge of the kingdom for the first time ever, and things quickly start to get out of hand when Lola invents new rules for the pupasi to follow! Lola, the princess of Friendship Mountain, isn’t your ordinary princess—she’s a pupasus princess! A royal pup with wings! When the King and Queen leave the pupdom for the day, it's finally Lola's chance to practice being in charge. Lola starts writing rules. Lots and lots of rules. But Lola doesn’t realize that the rules she’s written help only herself until her friends start to get upset. Can Lola make it up to her pals and bring peace back to the pupdom before her parents come home? Or will her royal day turn into a royal disaster? Soar into reading with Lola and her friends—full of illustrations, friendship magic, and princess power
