Deadline Monday to Register to Vote for November Election

Monday, October 21 is the last day to register to be able to vote in the Nov. 5, 2013 general election.

Control of five boards on the Coast β€”Β Coastside County Water District, Coastside Fire Protection Board,Β Granada Sanitary District, Midcoast Community Council, andΒ Montara Water & Sanitary Board β€”Β will be decided on theΒ Nov. 5Β ballot.Β 

Monday, Oct. 21 is the final day to register to vote to be eligible to cast your vote on Nov. 5.Β

According toΒ San Mateo County's Elections Office, registering to vote is easy.Β You may register online here:Β http://registertovote.ca.gov/Β You should provide your California Driver's License/ID number and/or the last four digits of your Social Security number when applying on-line.

You may register by mailing a completed Voter Registration Form to the San Mateo County Registration & Elections Division. Forms are available in person at public libraries, city and county offices, California Department of Motor Vehicles offices, and at U.S. Post Offices, or via on-line download. You may also call.Β

To pick up a Voter Registration Form in person, look at ourΒ index for a location near youΒ 

Your Voter Registration Form must be applied on-line by midnight no later than 15 days before that election (Oct. 21). If you are mailing a Voter Registration Form, it must be postmarked no later than 15 days before that election (Oct. 21)Β and received by the San Mateo County Registration & Elections Division by the close of the polls on election day.
