Amazing Mina! Chabot Tennis Star honored By State

Chabot College sophomore Mina Koloski, a former Las Lomas High star, was selected as 2026 ITA California Community College Athletic Association (3C2A) Women’s Tennis Sophomore Player of the Year.
Koloski became the seventh player in Chabot history to earn this achievement, along with
Zoe Olmos, 2022; Yuki Asari, 2008; Tiffany Villanueva, 2008; Nick Jakosjin, 2007; Justine Liberato, 2004; and Dmitry Dzyuba, 2003.
In two years at Chabot, Koloski won two state singles championships and almost 100 matches. Her singles record is 50-0 overall, and the doubles record is 47-4. Her 2026 record in singles was 26-0, and doubles, 28-2. Her 2025 singles record was 24-0, and the doubles mark was 19-2. She was a state doubles runner-up this year.
The Chabot men’s tennis team finished the season ranked No. 3 in the state, and was awarded seven out of the 12 spots on the Coast All-Conference Team. Chabot freshman Theeran Sivakumar earned 3C2A Men’s Singles ITA All-American honors. His final CA State singles ranking is #9.
An ITA All-American in Singles & Doubles, Koloski has won two Coast Conference titles, in Singles & Doubles. She will transfer to either UC San Diego or UC Irvine.
In other Chabot women’s tennis highlights:
* Gracie Barco, a freshman, earned 2026 ITA All-American in doubles. Barco was Koloski’s doubles partner in the CA State finals when they lost 13-11 in a third-set tiebreker to a team from Los Angeles Mission College.
Barco was also the 2026 Coast Conference Doubles Champion. Her final CA State rankings were #2 Doubles & #16 in Singles.
* Karina Smith, a sophomore, will be transferring to UC Berkeley. She was selected to the 2026 Coast All-Conference team and was 38th in the final CA State Doubles rankings.
* Minh Cannon, a freshman, was also selected to the 2026 Coast All-Conference Team. Her final CA State Doubles ranking is #38. Smith & Cannon were 2026 Coast Conference Doubles finalists.
* Sam Bucton, Maria Ramos, & Jenny Vo, all freshmen, are set to return next year for the Glads.
* Chabot had four players who earned the Coast All-Conference Team Award: Koloski, Barco, Smith, and Cannon.
