Watch: Maacama Ridge Blaze Scorches Area (patch.com) — Residents in and around Healdsburg may have noticed smoke Thursday as firefighters tackled a vegetation blaze along Maacama Ridge Road between Healdsburg and Geyserville. Cal Fire quickly boosted its response, stopping the fire’s spread at just over 2.5 acres and fully extinguishing it by 8 p.m., with crews remaining on scene for several hours to secure the area.
2. We'll Come To You: Van Brings Services To Sonoma County Towns (patch.com) — Sonoma County is rolling out new Open Doors Mobile Services vans that will soon stop in Healdsburg, bringing Medi-Cal, CalFresh, child support, senior services, and more directly into the community. By eliminating long drives to Santa Rosa and offering in-person help with applications and referrals, the program aims to make vital safety-net and health resources far easier for Healdsburg residents to access.
3. Boots, Bottles, Bites, And Flame-Throwing Chefs: A Wine Country Spring Begins (patch.com) — Healdsburg is kicking off spring with a packed calendar, from the beloved Barn Dance and Passport to Dry Creek Valley festivities to monthly ArtNite gallery walks and the Future Farmers Country Fair and parade. Locals also gain a new dining option with Acre Pizza’s recent Mill Street Row opening, expanding the town’s growing lineup of pizzerias near the plaza.
4. Healdsburg 'Stolen Hammer' Legacy Lives On In Rohnert Park (patch.com) — Healdsburg’s beloved giant hammer sculpture is back at the Abel De Luna Community Center, now protected and firmly part of the town’s identity after its infamous 2018 disappearance. Local artist Doug Unkrey has created a second massive hammer, briefly displayed alongside the original in Healdsburg before heading to SOMO Village in Rohnert Park, extending this quirky local art saga across Sonoma County.
