Tate was referring to a brief encounter in which Fieri greeted him and his brother Tristan Tate warmly in person. A clip, captured as Fieri moved through the venue, shows Andrew Tate and his brother standing and acknowledging him.

The video spread rapidly across social media, where critics questioned why the Food Network host engaged with the pair, who have faced allegations including sex trafficking in multiple countries.

Fieri responded to criticism at the time on X, saying he was “devastated” by the reaction and insisting he did not recognize the brothers at the time.

He described the moment as a passing greeting while he was focused on the fights. “I did not know them or about them before that moment,” Fieri wrote on social media, adding that he does not support them.

In remarks to TMZ, Tate rejected Fieri’s explanation. The brothers have also denied allegations against them. Meanwhile, the fleeting court-side clash has fueled a broader online fight between supporters of both figures.

Fieri, known for hosting Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives and for his long ties to Sonoma County. Before becoming a celebrity chef, he opened several restaurants in Santa Rosa, Windsor, Petaluma, and Roseville. He has not indicated whether he will address the controversy further.
